There are a number of safety
valves and solenoids within the LPG tank and conversion system,
including a pressure relief valve (PRV) and excess flow valve.
In the
event of a fire, the PRV will allow safe venting of excess pressure to
atmosphere.
If the LPG supply line were
severed in an accident, the excess flow valve would activate, cutting
off the fuel supply from the LPG tank. The LPG systems are just
as safe as a diesel or petrol system because of these systems, as test
show. |
