Diesel and petrol are the main road fuels in the world in a multi billion fuel industry, however, there is a growth in the use of Liquid Petroleum Gas, or auto gas.  LPG is one of the gases that is a by-product of the refining of crude oil, which among others is where petrol and diesel come from.

Compared to diesel, there are 70% less oxides of Nitrogen, and the fine particle emissions that are also part of these fuels are virtually eliminated with LPG.  The Department of Health statistics show that these particle emissions may be responsible for many advanced deaths and contribute to an increase in a number of health problems such as Asthma.

Liquefied Petroleum Gas, (LPG) also referred to as Auto gas, is a mixture of gases, the foremost being propane.

It is a by-product of the oil refining process and is also found as an associated gas in natural gas (methane) fields.  Until recently, this gas was burnt off as waste, but since the potential of this cleaner

Carbon dioxide is one of the main causes of the greenhouse effect

Petrol burns with around 12% more Carbon Dioxide than LPG and about 30% more of other greenhouse gasses such as Nitrogen Oxide (NOx), hydrocarbons (HC), and Carbon Monoxide (CO).

LPG is particularly cleaner for cold starts and short journeys, which account for about 60% of all vehicle traffic and the majority of urban emissions.

source of fuel has been realised, it has gained increasing support as an environmentally friendly automotive fuel, both in reducing global warming and improving air quality, particularly in towns and cities where vehicle emissions cause specific pollution problems.
