We then carry out an emissions test and road test of your vehicle to check all vehicle parameters are functioning correctly.

All this is to ensure that you LPG conversion goes without a hitch, and the results that you want are achieved.

3 The LPG Conversion:

Our fully trained and approved fitters carry out the installation, following codes of practice and completing a detailed job sheet on each conversion.

  1. On completion an emissions test is carried out on both petrol and LPG to check for correct reduction improvements on LPG and to confirm the pre-conversion petrol figures are the same.

  2. A full diagnostic check is also carried out on the LPG system to check correct operation.

  3. The vehicle is then thoroughly road tested under various driving style conditions including town ‘stop start,’ and ‘open road,’ essential to properly evaluate the performance of the LPG system operation and parameters.

  4. Finally, from cold, all pipe work connections are double-checked and the vehicle is given a ‘cold start’ test to confirm correct automatic LPG change over operation and running.

  5. Once these tests are satisfactorily completed we issue an official LPGA Certificate of Conformity.

4 After Conversion:

On completion we will contact you to arrange collection of your vehicle.

bullet

We make sure that you understand how the system works, how the LPG conversion components work in the engine bay, and how to operate the changeover/level contents switch.

bullet

We show you how to refuel the LPG tank by showing you how to use our LPG pump.

bullet

We then issue you with your LPGA certificate of conformity, explain the warranty paperwork and extensions if needed.

bullet

A drivers operation handbook is also issued for each LPG conversion system, which is extremely informative and covering all operations and functions in depth.

bullet

We also advise you of the following points: To inform your insurance company of the conversion if you have not already done so and also inform DVLA by amending and posting your Registration Document in the ‘changes’ section ‘fuel type’ to ‘LPG BI FUEL.’

bullet

All we then ask is for you to contact us to arrange a convenient time for you to return with your vehicle at approximately 1000 miles, for a free of charge post installation check on the system. This is carried out while you wait and generally takes around 15 to 20 minutes.

bullet

Finally, we will take you for a test drive if required, answer any questions that you may have and would ask that you settle payment of invoice by your chosen or preferred method.
